Slotracing at Narangba

Post by wixwacing »

Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that a brand new 3-lane wooden track is now operational at Andrew's place in Narangba.
This track was built in Ontario, Canada by world wide well known track builder Steve Ogilvie :

It features a nice track length of about 25 meters with magnatech braid. Lane spacing is 110mm so it is well suited for 1/24 scale as well.
Last night we had a first practice session with all kind of cars. Even Aussie Slot Car Legend Garry Johnson, driving his 1/24 Gulf Porsche 996, gave it the "tumbs up".

As this track is very well suited to all kinds of 1/32 RTR Cars (magnet or non-magnet), Andrew is very keen that we can have some Q32 events on this track. I believe a test day will be organized by Norm very soon.
There will also be a parts supply shop available as regular club racing is commencing now. Depending on what is raced, there will be cars and spare parts for racers to buy during club and weekend race events.

Cheers
Werner
