Carrera News

Post by wixwacing »

I have to admit that Carrera models are looking better and better to me. Being a predominantly board track racer, so many of them these days come RTR straight out of the box. They normally weigh in around the ninety to one hundred grams mark and Mr Carrera has bitten the bullet and have reduced gearing to a useable 3 : 1 or close! And the retail price is amazing!! So with that in mind, what are the latest offerings??

How about the Ford Capri RS ??

Then there's the new Audi R8
Audi R8 LMS

Or how about the BMW M3?

A new genre for slotracing must be this from Topslot

When I'm not racing slotcars,
I'm out in the back yard, burning food!!

When I win, it's because of my talent, not my car or my controller!

Picked up the Carrera Capri last week for $50 from a hobby store at Stafford.
I can tell you now the metallic red colour in the pics does no justice to the real thing.
The colour and gloss on this car is the best i have seen a part from the Sunoco 917/30 they just released.
The colour brings to mind candy apple metallic red, the finish on this car looks better than anything, the depth and fine metallic glint just amazes me. I haven`t even taken off the plinth , it is just so great to stare at.
