Denny Hulme's 1973 Yardley M23

Hi Everyone,
Here is my 1973 Denny Hulme Mclaren. Obviously it started life as a Scaley Mclaren from 1976. I sliced off the back of the sidepods and filled in the rear with plasticard. Filed down the airbox and reshaped it with milliput and tamiya putty and built a top airbox from plasticard. Cut the chassis to suit and made new posts. Modified the rear wing and Decals are done by myself on the missus' fancy office program. Finally I detailed the suspension and exhausts.

I must say that I don't know what the dayglo orange on the was, but It reacts with everything so every last bit has to come off before priming and painting, because any residual dayglo will fry up. (lesson learned)

That's looking fabulous Ted. Maybe a full 'how to' for the scratchbuilt section??

When I'm not racing slotcars,
I'm out in the back yard, burning food!!

When I win, it's because of my talent, not my car or my controller!

I'll work on one Phil.
I have plenty of these bodies lying around now, just a bit short on chassis.
I'll PM it when I'm done.
