Australian Slotcar Championship

Post by wixwacing »

Whilst sitting here looking for some interesting news for the forum from the World Wide Web, it comes to mind that there was an Australian GP Slotcar Championship run last week?

Did anybody go, what were the results?

The event was the Scalextric Formula 1 Grand Prix. Our friends and fellow Q32 and Legends racers Ken and Gary competed and did very well to both reach the final event contended by the top 6 racers on the day.

Hi Glen
I was talking to Ken tonight and sure enough, he and Gary reached the finals. Gary took forth place but Ken got a DNF after his front axle became dislodged and the marshalls bungled the repair?? The rules stated that the driver was not allowed to touch his car at any time during the meeting! Did any other 'Legends'-'Q32ists' take part??

The APC is to be held a Ford dealership a little way up the northdside of the city using a substantial demountable track. Predominantly 1/24 Plafit though.

The Slot.It series looks a bit 'Mega' Verne! how did your round go?
