Ninco Lotus Exige

Post by wixwacing »

The Ninco Lotus Exige is due out shortly and will be a GT class car. Unusually small for a Ninco model, apparently and equiped with an NC9 Sparker motor'. rated at 20,000rpm. This could push it out of the local standard motor class into the Slot.it class if it is true?

Yep. I quit Ninco forever when they produced the "pre-broken" Moslers and refused to stand behind the product or even admit their design was faulty. Later, they reinforced the weak chassis, but never offered even an admonition that they made the first ones stupidly. Then they raised their prices to the level of gouging when the economic crisis began, more than twice the rise the other makes had to do. They could be 25 pence each and I would refuse. Let 'em starve.

Meanwhile, I live in a city that has a Lotus dealer, and I looked at the Exige when it came out. It really is tiny, like the Europa was years ago. In proper 1/32 scale, it would be so small it would look rather like 1/43. I don't get the TV coverage that I wish I did for this class of racing, but I would imagine that driving the car in competition would be quite a challenge. The car is so small, I seriously doubt that I could sit in it, much less operate it.
