More hobby ideas!

Post by wixwacing »

I had the day off work today and instead of burying myself in the garage or the study I took a drive to a hobby store five or six suburbs away in order to top up my modelling supplies. Whilst there I picked up the Revell Easykit 'Nissan Pickup' - Colin McRae - Dakar rally. This is a snap together kit in 1/32 scale. It comes ready painted and all it needs is a good chassis underneath it. Another plus is that it comes with quite useable wheels and rubber tyres. That will save hours googling for SCX or Ninco spares!

Also there were some recent Bburago 1/32 scale diecast models. At roughly $15.00 each they are a third the cost of regular slotcars and therefore are a cost effective way of lanscaping pit areas and paddocks. Not only that, in line with something I have been researching for my own use is the fact that they no doubt would make excellent plugs for resin moulding. Among the more familiar models is the odd exception, like the Lamborgini Reverton?? !! Mmmmmmmmm?

When I'm not racing slotcars,
I'm out in the back yard, burning food!!

When I win, it's because of my talent, not my car or my controller!
