The eBay special Peugeot has arrived just in time for Wednesday race night at the track hopefully there's a class I can run this thing in v8 super dungers and le mans cars seem to be the dominate classes of racing

I'm in canberra mate. Went to the local and run it yesterday afternoon seems pretty good even with flat spotted tyres from sitting in the case for a long time. I'm after a magnet for it the bloke I got it off removed it to race non magnet class I prefer to run with out mags but I'm curious to see that its like with one.

Couple of mods done after yesterday's run fixed the play in the guide and a set of mjk tyres for the rear left the stock tyres in the front will see how it goes on Friday if I get time to get to the track next mod will be a motor its bloody slow even compared to my older 84 vintage Audi Quattro

Well here she in in parramatta colours needed to trim alot of plastic out of the chassis to fit it and the terminals for the motor are in a very close to the mount. But I got it all in I'm yet to run it buy going by the specs it should be a real little ball biter

It is. I need to do some mods. Run it last night and at around 11v was ok. Then ran it at our race voltage and the motor promptly poped out of the mounts so back to the drawing bored I need to find a way to hold it in better with out glueing.

I would use a broad strip of hot glue down either side of the motor. Make sure the motor and chassis are clean and there is no oily residue anywhere. Do one side at a time and let it cool, you will need to position the motor/chassis at an angle as the glue will run in the early stages of cooling. Also, stick a strip of masking tape on the underside of the chassis along the gaps down the sides of the motor, this will stop the glue running through the gap before it cools, making a mess. The good news is that hot glue is not destructive and when you want to remove the motor, rub some Shellite into the bond, it will release in an instance leaving the chassis and motor as good as new!
