Hi All, I am wondering if anyone has this set,
I am toying with idea of getting it for myself for Christmas as the wife will be overseas and the Christmas present fund will be all mine (Her idea honest)
As the version of it at Armchair Racer comes with a third car so at the price it basically works out that the track etc and 3 cars is about the same as buying 3 Nascars normally. With the bonus of having track and controllers all be it basic ones.

What I would like to know is does anyone know if the Nascars in the set have RX 42 or 42b motors.
Not a big issue as cheap enough to upgrade but would be nice not to have too.

Can't really help you there Kev, I know the latest NASCARs have the RX42B and I can only imagine that if the sets are new and contain the latest model cars, they will be the latest motors. As for the third car, If it is an earlier model just added to the set then there is a chance it might not be. They came with an RX42 which I feel are a little bit slower than the 'B'. I suspect a phone call is the only solution!

Will have to find the time to ring em.....

copied direct from the email.
For the Nascar set it is a Chevrolet Impala SS Nascar in the Pennzoil livery, the C2 DTM comes with a Mercedes C-Klasse DTM in silver, and the GT sets both come with an Aston Martin Vantage GT car in white. Each of these cars are quoted by SCX has having the RX42 motor.
Will have to find the time to ring em.....
When I find out I will post the info in case others are interested in the same thing.

Looks like an upgrade then if you get them, the old motors might be worth $5.00 or so on eBay, or put them in our for sale section?

I have just ordered the C2 Gt Race set. will upgrade motors when they arrive.
Will decide what to do with the other motors once I have it sorted.
So will have my own test track to play around with lol
