Anyone for a VW GT!!??

Post by wixwacing »

As much as I like Protoslots models and as unaffordable as they are, will there be a demand for this Volkswagen in disguise.?

I think so!!

And continuing in their open wheeler tradition is the Patrick DePailler Alpine 364

I love this car, I have always been a fan of the front engined water cooled Porsches, the 924 went on to great racing feats for a 2.0 L 4 banger, much to the purist`s dislike.
I looked at a 924 turbo wtih a Carrera GT kit on it about 5 yrs ago to buy, but with it sitting so long between drives proved uneconomical to get on the road again regardless of its price being rather cheap at $10K.

The 924 GTR was homologated from the 59 produced 924 Carrera GTS road cars, these cars were produced as GTS & GTS CS models, with the CS comprising of 15 produced and GTS 44 produced.
The GTR produced 320Bhp at 930Kg and was a great racer, with only 19 produced.
19 full race 924 Carrera GTRs were produced, which nine either raced or qualified at Le Mans.
