G'day all

As expected, some 'off the wall' racing and some stupendous classes to combat the 73 metre track with. My favourite class????....... Dunno, they were all great. Some of us took it with a pinch of salt and others took it seriously....? No mater, there was fun and chaos aplenty. The Trabant class showed the little Monogram Simca 1000 to be uncatchable on sport track and the Trabants' although quick, were not quick enough. I drove a little NSU Prinz which fair screamed down the back straight but danced a bit under brakes!!

The Fiat class was a good one with no one who was driving one breaking into the twenty second lap barrier, and a good lap was in the mid thirties. At least the traction magnets kept us safe from harm in the car park and one or two who did let go in this amalgamation of track, timber and ravines plummeted to an uncertain doom all the way to the floor.

The Gran Torinos were as expected and for the most part they lumbered round in gargantuan splendor shedding chrome bits at most of the corners they didn't make!!!

All in all for the most part some good honest racing and fun to boot!!!

When I'm not racing slotcars,
I'm out in the back yard, burning food!!

When I win, it's because of my talent, not my car or my controller!

And lets not forget the attendance of a new member, who wishes to remain anonymous for personal reasons, who came out on a cold June night to meet the gang and do some racing.
And not a bad racer he was. Even the great Phil Wix said as much.

So a big welcome to David Parker, a plumber from Graceville who's friends call him Nosey.

They didn't have the July race card ready last time I spoke to fussy but he hinted that it would be "Challenging"

I bet it's Pink Kar VW Beetles. Fussy loves those and he's got a bunch of them.
Personally I can't stand them, especially on that track.
It's just a question of what will arrive first, pension day or the Pink kar VW.

Hey BF, long time no race!

Good point about the Pink Kars.
In Million Dollar Bill's case it would most defiantly be Pension day.

As you may have noticed, Mr Bumbles is still with us.
Not sure about MDB though, hasn't been to the last few SEQSCC nights because of scrotum droop or something.

I think Million Dollar Bill had fin rot last time I was at Graceville.
What about Special K ??
Does he still go to Graceville for his monthly dose of ridicule and abuse from the Gruppenfuhrer?

A bit like yourself really! We haven't seen Ken down at Graceville since late last year.
Some issue with transport I believe.
Or maybe it's past his bedtime.

Speaking of which, when will we see the great Barmy Fred down at the mega mart?

I'm still on deployment so it could be a while.
I have to go to Seattle to visit Boeing in July and then I'm off to Toulouse to Airbus Industrie so I won't be there until at least August.
Let me know if you want any cars from the States before I go.
I'll be looking for more of those plain white USA Scalextric cars when I'm there.

I'm buying a few US edition Nascars for Fussy in exchange for some T-shirts he's printing up for me.

I've just seen the latest edition of the Diatribe. Next Monday is all SEQSCC challenges?
What's with that?
Do we bring any cars?

Bumbles, you said yourself that last time you spoke with Fussy he said the next race night would be challenging.
That's obviously what he meant.
Might have to make the effort, could be an interesting evening.
