Cyphs Grand QLD Visit!

Post by Cyph »

Rob (or Michael, was it) returns to QLD in January for a 3 day whirlwind of old peoples birthdays and hopefully slot car racing!

Due to my grandmothers 90th birthday (apparently a BIG deal), I'll be up in QLD from the 19th of January through to the 22nd of January.

Said birthday celebration is during the afternoon of the 21st, which means I have a Saturday night available for some slot car racing and to catch up with hopefully everyone I haven't seen in what will be over 3 years.

The question is... can we organise a slot car meet so I can catch up with the QLD guys. As much as I'd like to visit either the Eggdome or the new Mt Perrorama, I think the Sunny coast tracks would probably be out unless someone can drive me up there, and I've never driven Paulthetexans track...

Can we organise a meet for the 21st? By the way, I'll need to borrow cars... hehehe :)

Cheers,

Rob

Hi Rob,

That's a third Saturday so I expect there will be a Q32 event on somewhere on the Sat. Failing that, I have a couple of alternatives up my sleeve

Hey Phil,

Whatever is good, I just want to catch up and say g'day to people mostly. :)

Cheers,

Rob :)

My visit is close! A week and a half and I"ll be up there.

Is there anything happening on the 21st?

sounds like a plan , I'll talk to perro . I know Glen wanted to run a round soon or next . Where does Grandpa live or more precisely where do you need to be picked up from .

Hey Paul,

I'll be lodging at the Springwood Motor Inn, so will most likely have to be picked up from Springwood :)

Hi Rob

21st is a scheduled race night, the venue is to be announced and I think Paul may be right. Not only that, Chris has the Carrera track up and running so there may well be an opportunity to run a few cars at Chris's on the Friday

Won't be able to make Perros round of Q32 just looking from the start times, as I really can't bail on this birthday thing until about 4pm, which means I'd arrive well after the racing given the travel time from Springwood to up the sunshine coast. Doheth! Oh well.

Phil - Can I give you a call next Friday if you're going to head round to Chris' at all?

Cheers,
