MJK Tyre chart

Postby wixwacing » Sat 16 Aug, 2008 11:26 pm

G'day all, the following is an application chart for MJK tyres. For those who don't know, MJK are a urethane type tyre similar to the German 'Ortmann' tyres, which have exceptional performance on board tracks. They can be used on plastic tracks but with limited success.

It lists the models for which the tyres are specified but as we know, they have many more applications than this. One of the most popular is the SCX rally tyre (4219) which will fit a lot of sedan based models. Another couple of multi fit tyres are the Slot.it 20 X 10 (4213) and the Proslot 21 X 11 (4205). If you want to know the best fit for your model, pop a reply below this and we'll see what we can do. All these tyres are readily available at Scalex World Adelaide. If you would like a list of hub sizes that they fit, pm me this board or email me at pwix@yahoo.com and I will send it to you.

Hi Guys

Ian and the boys in SA have been adding tread to their selection. I have marked the new additions in blue on the chart

Does anyone know of a MJK that fitts the CB Design alloy wheels to suit the rear of SCX Nascars, as these rims are 1mm bigger in Diametre and the MJK 4230 will stretch over them, they end up over diametre and will take forever to true down to size and will loose their tight fit.
I have 3 Nascars with these wheels on.
Thanks
Kev

Try MJK slot.it or proslot . These options will give you a variation in width . I think slot.it will be closest
Go hard or Go home

Some interesting tyres from MJK, A pair of tyres for the Sprint cars and midget racer rears plus some new tyres for the latest classic Scaley GT cars. Also a long overdue tyre to fit the earlier SCX GT's and LMP's with the wide centre step. Will need a little sanding to achieve a good profile
