Oh dear, the cogs must need a bit of crc to stop all that sqeaking and grinding.

Seriously though, I've been having a bit of a look into it. The set up costs are about what you'd pay for a new rtr car, this scratchbuilding lark is becoming my favourite bit of the hobby.

Gee Phil thats a great car for sure, I think Strombecker did one years ago. I know Dave Reinecke built one and detailed it up beautifully ( it's on his RMS website) but I don't think he flopped any moulds. http://www.rmsresins.com/html/chappy2d.pdf see the final pics on this link.

I'm not sure I'm quite ready to build a whole body master from absolute scratch just yet.
but I reckon I could flop one off a strommy body with a bit more practice ( if I can find one).

In the mean time I starting with a few smaller items to get a bit of a feel for it.

I started on my first mould tonight, a high Airbox for the M23, the master I made is a fair bit more accurate than the one I made in the M23 build. So hopefully that turns out okay and I'll be casting a few soon.
It seems there are a few guys keen on turning their scaley M23 into high airbox versions.

I didn't quite realise that making the silicone moulds would be quite so messy and was doing it in the kitchen, I don't think the wife was too impressed!!!!! I'd better keep such shananagins to the shed from here on.

It looks to be recent by the company the model is keeping. Interesting to note how he made the body mounting posts, I had this feeling of 'deja vu '!!!
