Carrera 30K Motor

I purchased a Carrera 30000RPM tuning motor today and put it in one of my stock Carrera Nissan GT-R cars, the car had a E200 in it and I assume it is an 18000RPM at 12V. With the 30K motor the car is not even a fraction faster, but when you free rev it, it sounds like it is revving higher. Any idea's?

I'd check the pinions first, do they have the same number of teeth? One tooth difference can generate more than 10% loss in speed.

Yes Phil, Same pinions, I took the car down to Red Racer today and tried it on his track, and it is killer fast, I may not have enough power on my home track? I am running 14.8V Carrera power pack.

Volts are fine, but whats the amp rating on that carrera power pack? That'd probably be the major difference between your power supply and red racer.

Hi Guys. I need some advice. I race Carrera 132 digital cars with the wireless Carrera system. Can I use a 2,200uf 25v Capacitor to boost power on my Carrera E200 motor? Would it cause any damage to the motor or the digital chip? I plan to install it in my Nissan GTR.

Would appreciate your comments.
Thanks

I forgot to mention that the Power Pack is the standard 14.8V and rated at 2.9A.

Motor Specs from
http://slotcarnews.blogspot.com.au/2007 ... -list.html

Carrera E-200, E-500 (FC-130) [21,081 RPM/12v] 26,000/14.8v, tested 18,058-20,6340 RPM/12v

at 14.8v the E200 is rated at 26000 rpm hence why the 30k motor wouldn't seem that much quicker.

cheers
