Scalextric FF can motor

Post by Eggmeister »

Gents,

I have been recieving reports that Scalextric have made a lower rating FF Can motor replacement. This motor is for the escorts etc which have the slimmer FF can motor. It is rated around the 15,000 rpm mark.

Has anyone heard of this and if so could you give me a model number and maybe a supplier's contact.

Regards

Hey Eggy
the only thing i know is that current `67 mini C2807 ( monte carlo winner) car and the new 3 mini set-The Italian Job use this mabuchi 15000 rpm motor.
I can`t find it yet as a spare part, but it would be great to downgrade the classic F1 Cars to this motor.
The Scalextric site don`t have it listed as a spare part yet.
You could always buy a `67 mini and swap motors?
cheers
Jordan
PS i have a mint mini i could swap you for a green 356 .

Thanks jordan.

I will wait and see what comes out from scalextric. You never know they might release it the same time they do the interiors on the v8 super cars.

As for the mini vs porsche. You know the answer. It is waiting for me down at the post office.
Come on 4.00pm.

Hey Eggy
Power Slot , the guys who make the quad bikes, have a FF style motor rated 13 000 rpm @12v.
you can order them from here.

Only winding you up about the 356, i would be looking forward to it too.
