BRM Relivery

I have stripped and reliveried my P160 BRM on M23 Chassis. Now I've done a few conversions, I had a look at my effort and decided it wasn't good enough. A total start from scratch wasn't going to be a part of the plan (although I might just do another one at some point, now I've got a bit more of an...

A quick update on the BT44. Well You can see progress for Yourself.

Unfortunately none of the commercially available decal sets have the correct length stripes for the sidepods, so these are my own.

Re: Making an Electronic Controller

Holy Moly DM,

I'm battling to solder new ends on the guide ends of my scaley "round guide" motor wires.

I think I'm going to have to look into electronics and the like once I've mastered resin moulding.

Great Article though and Props to you for wanting to have a go mate.

Already waking up to that one Phil,
I went really hi tech and sat it on the bonnet of my old work hack falcon.
That thing runs so rough its perfect.

First Resin casts done - M23 High Airboxes

I got my first resin casts done. High Airboxes for the M23 Mclaren. I had a few pitfalls on the way. Firstly my initial mould didn't set I still had a claggy lump of silicone after two days. (Read the instructions wrong). Having succesfully accomplished a good mould, I think I would probably make it...

Re: 1/24th scale sprint car

Sprintcars are one of my favourite things to watch. Theres nothing quite like a warm night at the speedway eating dodgy hotdogs and watching these things slide around on opposite lock and coming home covered in mud. i haven't been for years, although like you I used to go as a kid. Might have to go ...

Re: Laymans guide to resin moulding

Gee Phil thats a great car for sure, I think Strombecker did one years ago. I know Dave Reinecke built one and detailed it up beautifully ( it's on his RMS website) but I don't think he flopped any moulds. http://www.rmsresins.com/html/chappy2d.pdf see the final pics on this link. I'm not sure I'm q...

Re: Laymans guide to resin moulding

Ted, I can hear you thinking from here! Oh dear, the cogs must need a bit of crc to stop all that sqeaking and grinding. Seriously though, I've been having a bit of a look into it. The set up costs are about what you'd pay for a new rtr car, this scratchbuilding lark is becoming my favourite...
