Re: Oxenford Circuit / Al's Paceway

Hey Phil,

Mate, if you could get some distance shots of that the next time you're there, it'd be awesome.

Looks impressive just from what I can see so far!

Re: Do we really need Trophies!???

Thread has gotten a cleanup.

I've unbanned Paul.

If you find stuff missing from your post (or your post missing entirely), it's because I felt it wasn't warranted in this thread and was merely developing into personal attacks and retaliations.

Re: Retro Review - Scalextric 'Protec' series

Hi Thanks for your detailed review - neither of my two Scalextric history books covered these kits (released in 1998) in any detail (one did a bit more on kits but on the first series). I have a mint set of these second series Protec cars that I have finally just got around to assembling, however h...

Re: Guide line update for second half 2010

The below is a random comment by someone who used to race with you guys in Queensland until he foolishly decided to move to Tasmania. Ahh the joys of gearing, and in Ninco's case, NC-5 motors. If you are to change the gearing on an NC-5 to a 3:1 ratio, I fear that the Scaley cars will beat them, due...

Re: Scalextric Ferrari 308

Apparently the Carrera Ferrari licencing only kicks in at the end of June or something.

So we should see everyones Ferrari releases before then.

Re: Lotus off the pace

Just remember though, with how little time the new teams were actually given with all the bullshit that the established teams were going on with - you know, the whole 'oh hey we'll breakaway and start our own championship, oh wait, no we wont, oh wait, yes we will' etc, the new teams were severely c...

Re: US Grand Prix Team

For all their trials and tribulations and Bernie's promises to make the event cheaper and fairer over the last couple of years, nothing much seems to have happened. Also, I have to admit I have stopped watching it too as I am P****D off with races that are run mid afternoon our time being shown ele...

I predict the SCX model will perform better than the real F1 car does this season.

Re: Where are the NSR's on the OUTHOUSE??

I think when it comes to controllers, it's more just making your inputs smoother than the (what it seems to me after using a PM controller for half a year now) dodgy nature of a non-adjustable controller. Case in point for us down here is that one of the guys in our group, Adrian, recently on our ro...

Re: Where are the NSR's on the OUTHOUSE??

NSR have said previously that their slot cars are made to go well first, and scale is secondary. Hence the width. They've never claimed otherwise.

They do however claim that their cars go very well out of the box. Which they do. Which is much more than what you can say for Ninco.

Re: FLYSLOT Alfa TZ2

Oh good lord.

That is brilliant. So brilliant in fact I think it'll probably end up with a brass chassis underneath it to race with the guys out at Alpaca Park!

Re: Aussie V8's $$$$$$$$??????????

I think they go just fine on the track Phil!!! They go just fine out of the box on a Scalextric track or any track where you use magnets - with the possible exception of Carrera, but unless things have changed since I left I think there's still only one plastic track that they get raced on in the Q...

Re: Aussie V8's $$$$$$$$??????????

Consider it a result of the cash cow that is licensing official products from V8 Supercars, and more importantly, the bastards at AVESCO.
