Monogram Midget - George Tatnell 25

Here's my latest Speedcar, George Tatnell’s 25 midget that won him his first Australian Speedcar Championship in 1973-4. http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo205/SpeedwaySteve2/25Tatnell25ShgBIG72_zps5tj5kofz.jpg The Midford Offy (formerly Bob Tattersall’s Cascio Offy) Monogram slot car was put ...

Re: Workbench makeover

Could you please direct me to the garage of Mr Phil Wix? :P

Really an incredible job. Now there's everything at your fingertips.
Neat, organised and professional. All you need now is a coffee maker at arms length

Re: Al's Speedway

No less than 7 years later this Speedway oval has undergone a full refurbishment. A lot of work has gone into Alan Page's former pride and joy and we've made it more spacious and better to race on. I intend fitting a lap counter and landscaping the circuit with some ideas, so stay tuned and brush th...

Decals made-to-measure

I say chaps, is there a place in Australia that makes up racing number decals to order?
Size of the numbers (in a variety of fonts) is around 10mmW x 13mmH.
I was hoping I could supply photos and they could supply decals for a price.

Hope you all are having a good day :P

Re: NC5 (Speedway)

Hello Paul, I'm writing to you regarding something you wrote back in 2010. "I can feel a speedway afternoon coming on . We'll have to organise a meet at either Alan's or RedRacer." To cut a long story short I now have Alan Page's oval speedway slot car track. I also purchased from Alan 2 o...

Re: 1/24th scale sprint car

Wonderful cars David, those big V8 front engined roadsters. :-) I wish I'd been around then. My favourite is your 1964 A.J Foyt #1 Offy, the last-ever roadster to win at Indy. http://www.racing99.com/cartpics00historic/indy041.jpeg Is yours a slot car? If it is, I'd be keen to see the kind of chassi...

Re: 1/24th scale sprint car

That's an interesting Midget. Can you tell me what kit the resin is? It doesn't appear to be a Monogram. An Aussie Midget in that livery has a colourful background. The "El Toro" Offy was raced in Brisbane in the 60's by the late Barry Valentinna. It's now worth a fortune! http://justmidge...

Re: Vintage COX sidewinder chassis request

Hiya Pete, thanks for the tip :-) I'd been trying to find a chassis that I wouldn't have to build totally myself (I have a disability, long story), or at least without the precision bending and soldering you need for building from scratch. I can fumble my way with a Dremel, even use a use a mini-gri...

Re: 1/24th scale sprint car

Hi David, I'm on Brisbane's northside but I dont mind travelling. Been to see the new Red Racer, but they weren't running at the time. It sure looks good!
Do you know of any oval track (eg: Sprintcar) racing that goes on, anywhere?

I'm also interested in Midgets and vintage Midgets. :)

Re: 1/24th scale sprint car

Hello :-) Winged Sprintcars are the greatest, they look mean! :-) That's a really good model. I'm keen to watch or be involved in any slot racing happening around Brisbane. I'm also keen on Dirt Track Speedway cars of all sorts, including these: http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?phot...

Re: Vintage COX sidewinder chassis request

There's been further info gained these past few days. I think it might be better sticking to an inline motor. I was just trying to get the motor to sit back as far as possible to allow for a full cockpit (ie driver seat just ahead of the rear wheels). Since I’ve asked the question a couple of guys...

Hi Pete, the motor brand may be Pittman, but the 1/24 chassis looks like 1/32 Atlas.

cheers

Atlas motor tune up help

Hello everyone. I have new Atlas brush kits, springs, screws etc, but I've some different sized motor brushes compared to others. Why is this? Also, the springs don't fit inside the brush screws. They are identical otherwise. Can you assist me please? They are all brand new, I bought them a long tim...
